    That candle? Nah. For one thing, the tube is only blocking its emission in a small fraction of the surrounding sphere. For another, it’s already so hot that the vast majority of its emission is outside of the bands absorbed by CO2, so it couldn’t have much effect even if the CO2 were all around it.
