Would you like to know how I got onto the gold and silver debate?

Many years ago as gold and silver began their manic rise to $1900 and $50 respectively, I made a few comments that I thought it was was unsustainable. This brought a long series of abusive and very derogatory rebukes from the precious metals fans, but of course, as we all now know I was right, PM's were in a mania the same as 1980.

Those posters have long since had a haircut and disappeared, and now there's a new generation with a new explanation.
