Laminaria had a reserves decrease early on if I remember correct (as well as a capex blow out), due to the unreliability of the seismic data. Still a good project because of overall size but caused a lot of angst for Woodside at the time.
CVN claim that the new FWI seismic technology is a game changer, which is fair enough. It just needs to be tested with the drill bit before any commitment to development because there is still risk at present.
