Mat Crouch just signed a 3 year deal not counting this year - but yeah I know what you mean - what can say lol.
the crows have made some superior selection of horse-meat without any favours being thrown at them and have groomed them to become very good players and as soon as these players are out of contract because the crows have done such a great job they get huge $$$$ thrown at them - they gravitate toward the money - davis, tippett, danger, lever and now sloane and perhaps lynch. the crows don't get any recompense for those players.
In the meantime they have to stretch their salary cap to accommodate mcgovern and the crouches and christ knows who else we can't pay all our top players top dollar that all the various melb/others clubs offer them and stay within the salary cap. there not enough to go around.
Port don't have the same problem because you have got too many good players others want bad enough. this will get you going baxy boy lol.
