Thanks for your thoughtful and detailed post . U gave me something good to read with my coffee this am .
I think you are pretty much spot on with your assessments . Whilst the market is always impatient for news etc , the arena of biological research works to a totally different speed - years , as opposed the market , which seems to think in days .
There in lies the conflict .
Science is not about spruking or speculating , although reasonable hypothisis leads to a direction of experimentation to test if the hypothetical outcome can be achieved . IMU have some great results so far - which seem to prove the theories . ( which is really good ..and potentially really exciting )
IMU is a fully blown R&D orgainsation at this stage - manned by what appeares to be very credible scientific players .
There will always be a conflict between the potential commerciality of what they are doing and the absolute truth behind the science & proven results .
On the one hand they collaborate with other scientific players in the field, because thats what scientists do.
On the other , whilst here is no cash flow - management has to keep the market juices flowing so as to maintain the market cap , which in turn underpins the ability to raise capital to fund what is really expensive work .
Needless to say , IMU must have an agenda not to be too public ( for commercial reasons ) nor to get too excited ( because things can go wrong )
From the market perspective ( and the excitement of the scientific results so far ) IMU "could " be absolutely HUGE , providing everything goes to plan.
Most of the facts and theory ( in a general sense ) are already out there in the market place . So other than people reminding them selves of the longer term prospects ...I doubt there is much more to be talking about .
I would rather the management & the team focuss 100% on the science . IF it is as good as what has been speculated - the Pharma Elephants will be crashing the door down to get a chunk .
If IMU's work is as good as has been speculated then we are looking at the birth of MAJOR value . ( dont ask me how much - we all have imaginations )
Meanwhile the SP will be quite volatile . Lots of really good profits to have been made over the last 2 months from a trading perspective . The price could fall right back to 2 cents - or it could go to 4 cents - who knows ( who cares )
I take the view ( and I think many of us holders do ) , that by holding the stock the longer reward to risk is pretty good - at the moment . - maybe massive .
The element of the market that craves daily news wont have the same view .
Their loss - if we are correct Their gain if we are wrong .
But remember bilogical & medical science is quite often not predicable , in more often than not - what works in a mouse , doesn't in a human . How a drug is delivered & in combination with other factors and / or associated ( and often non related ) drugs can mean enormous variation of outcome .
