Molycorp not unlike Mt Weld. Sizeable deposit. I'd think the LAMP could easily process Mt. Pass concentrate.
There's no oversupply in China; they'd just rather pick the ROW resources clean to preserve their own.
Concentrates (and DSOs) are shipped to China from all over the world. The distance is somewhat immaterial as the costs of shipping are largely incurred at the start and end of the journey.
That said, I'd be surprised and dismayed if they were allowed to do that rather than being forced to transfer technology and bring Mt Pass up to date.
