    You obviously haven't given your hoarding much thought.

    If the system collapses you won't be able to eat your silver, neither will the kids, because in the Great Depression the price of silver fell. Silver fell from 53c in 1929 to 28c in 1932.

    If you're worried about a collapse then you'd be better off buying a few acres and growing your own food, firewood and hunkering down with some guns and ammo like those idiots on the prepper TV shows.

    More than likely what's going to happen is when you peg out the first thing the kids will do is unload the lot and divvy up the proceedings, which given silver's past history won't be much.
