Diesel Generators in Ethiopia

Hi,

I am a part owner of a German based specialty coffee roaster. Among other countries, from time to time I visit Ethiopia to ensure the quality of our beans is assured, as well as a guarantee of supply. As part of our business we are of course also vitally interested in ensuring that our coffee bean purchases benefit the Ethiopian people.

One of the main problems in Ethiopia is that only about 50% of the population have access to electricity. Therefore, whilst I am in Ethiopia I will be talking about helping supply diesel generators to coffee plantations and where possible, to entire villages. It goes without saying that I will also be flying the Optiblend flag (GS has been informed). Whilst this is a long term project, and Ethiopia is a very difficult place to do busines, you never know, maybe one day there will be a announcement about the sale of Optiblend units in Ethiopia.
