I think it interesting on any of the vanadium sites on hot copper, everyone makes their comparison of future vanadium v current technology lithium, quoting life span/recharge cycles, heating problems, charge times, environmental issues(using cobalt).
Surely if they were realists they would really think about what the real comparison would be for future tech lithium v future vanadium.
I am not ramping lithium( I own no lithium stocks, but I have a lot of vanadium.)
New technology lithium batteries will have at least double charging cycles or more, no overheating problems, and recharge times in minutes. Also with no cobalt, cheaper. (This technology is already available and set to be commercialised within a year)
That is what the comparison should be, this would significantly alter the life time costs of one versus the other.
With reference to EV v Hybrid, this would virtually make hybrid a waste of time.
