I listened in live to the investor call yesterday, the Virbac deal was essentially done hastily and they were looking for a significant improvement from their current pesticide range they use. Limited R&D budget meant they were happy to pass for the time being.
The trials weren't done in official manner and the possibility of re-infestation could arise due to cows coming into contact with themselves and wondering around pastures. The Purdue University results show a much more promising application for Flavocide in ticks/buffalo flies and they will look to further build out data.
This latest announcement again shows the immense potential considering this was done on the field in Thailand, they will look to partner with a Chinese agchem company in the future to continue field testing once they gather more information on dosage rates and toxicity.
Newsflow is expected all year round and from many fronts. Once the evidence is built out, partners will be willing to take comprehensive R&D assessments of Bio-genes products.
