All the idealists can shut up, please.
But sheet does happen, quite often in fact.
What the heck? Surely we need to understand the risks going forward. Now it's just sheet happens?
Let's not pretend that future strategy isn't important. It's critical.
Bad strategy let us down in the past. Endless CRs, wishful thinking, and now you want to just wish it all away without close reexamination of assumptions?
Implicitly you're saying that you regard the risks as too high to buy on the low. But you won't engage on why. Just broad brush strokes.
So what about the ifs?
If we get to the point where nobody is engaging with detailed forensic questions, and hope (plus good tech) is the only thing driving the company...
If Stefan isn't acutely aware of his own limitations, and inexperience
If we don't get a good Chairman, driving excellent strategy and with excellent negotiation skills in an international market, to complement Stefan's strengths and give us what he lacks in experience.
....then it will be suboptimal results.
Not much longer to wait now. I'm betting the current Chairman can't wait to be rid of this albatross and the largely thankless task of trying to right the ship and reset the path. I'm grateful for his contributions even if you are not. For one thing, we have recognisable branding and marketable IP. We have engaged Polaris and continue to demonstrated the tech. We have at least some decent working capital. We have a decent although inexperienced, CEO.
On the negative side, we are about to let go a Chairman with international experience and the smarts to restructure and bring in expert consultancies, we have a limited amount of cash and more limited revenue, we are vulnerable to not being taken seriously by any future battery space partner due to our own pattern of instability (still not settled). We are vulnerable to knee jerk reaction by shareholders. Therefore we are vulnerable to not being able to maximise our IP.
Why? A potential partner might insist on outright sale of the IP rather than a partnership and we won't be in a strong enough financial position to resist. That's the price of instability. You might not want to hear it but that's the risk.
What brought us to this situation is something everyone should be prepared to revisit. But if people are just saying it's idealists making useless noise, and shut up, sheet happens.....50/50 jesus and lance armstrong....how does that help?
I think shareholders should expect full accountability from their company. By the same token, we should all at least try to make impartial assessments about all aspects of the company and be prepared to investigate, and make logical conclusions rather than just take someone's word for it. That's jesus/lance armstrong territory. Surely we're smarter than that.
