[Get the Military onto it. Every town has army reserves make it part of their training. Abbott would be the ideal person to get this done. Make him 'the minister of natural disaster responce']

Anyway, the Government cracking the sads at the Greens is pathetic. Turnbull needs to some bloody work and take some responsibility.

Tell it to those in the Blue mountains under greens dominated councils who want to remove a tree or clean up undergrowth.
Tell it to the bush fire brigades who are prevented from maintaining fire trails.
