Here is one of my student's stories. She appeared in class after several days of absence. Apparently, a friend called carrying her young baby. "Could you look after her, while I go shopping?" "Sure". Woman never returned. My student says she is now spending her tiny savings on buying food and nappies for the baby and caring for said baby, thus unable to attend class. I can't recall how all that panned out but was an interesting, eye-opening experience for me. Perhaps baby's mum was busy spending her additional welfare money whooping it up, sans baby expenses. Moral of story? Be careful whose baby is left in your care because you never know for how many years. lol
