The opposition to the mountain of evidence underpinning the science of global warming and climate change isn’t fundamentally about the science.
This opposition seeks to trash science in any pathetic way it can so as to produce a political outcome favourable to big carbon emitters, such as coal and oil companies, and those plucky billionaires like Gina socialising their pollution and making squillions doing it.
Trashing Science is just collateral damage.
The major polluters have bought the Australian govt they want and are happy to see Australia live in a fools paradise regarding global warming and climate change.
Why, one recent Australian PM said the science of global warming and climate change was “crap” as he courageously wound back the clock and all useful policy to date. Could you believe such a dolt exists in the 21st century. No, it defies comprehension.
And what is the latest. The renowned US agency NOAA reported two days ago that temperatures near the North Pole rose up to 45degrees Fahrenheit above average late in February.
The head in the sand claque just want to deny facts.
Here’s what NOAA says on Internet site. It includes some basic science for the uneducated drongos.
“Sea ice melts in the spring and summer, and grows in the autumn and winter. Arctic sea ice typically reaches its maximum extent sometime between late February and early April, and since the start of the twenty-first century, those winter maximums have
declined. Although Arctic sea ice in 2018 hasn’t broken all previous records for its low wintertime extent, it is still trending well below the 1981–2010 average. But as researchers watched Arctic sea ice in early 2018, they marveled at the high air temperatures over parts of the Arctic. In late February 2018, at Cape Morris Jesup, Greenland, the weather station closest to the North Pole (maintained by the
Danish Meteorological Institute), temperatures climbed 45°F above normal for that time of year.”
Do drongos understand that? 45 degrees Fahrenheit above normal. And you want to keep your head and everyone else’s in the sand. Crazy. Criminal.
