Just to clarify, I do not consider that Dr Wood experimented on her patients - I was simply referring to the language used by other doctors in media reports. Some patients did die, as can happen to people who have been severely burned in a bombing. I would not in any way wish to imply that was her fault. However, certain doctors speaking to the media at the time seemed willing to imply that perhaps this new technology might have unknown risks that could have contributed. I do not believe that is fair or true - the point of my post was to explain that there seem to be those in the medical field who have not given recell fair opportunity, perhaps for reasons of that old human frailty, jealousy.
Personally, I consider Dr Wood absolutely deserving of accolades and I think it is frankly insane that her invention has not gained more traction Australia-wide.
