Exactly, "if proven", to get there you've still got to go through Phase 1,2,3 (and sometimes 4), these can't be fast tracked, it's only the NDA and getting it to market than can be. Happy to be corrected.
Currently CSL are committed to spending $724,000,000 to get their CSL112 preventing secondary heart attacks treatment through Phase 3 and it's expected to take four years, (even then "experimental drugs can often fail at the phase three trial stage even after showing positive results in phase one and phase two trials - as CSL112 has done."), then a couple more years to get to market.
