ASX is likely to drop out of the ASX in the near future and management have a lot answer for. Not just the current guys but going all the way back to Bernie Brooks.
The took far too long to invest in online, and when they did it was half-arsed. Their online biz is still a shocker. I have no idea what happens behind the scenes but as a customer it is mind boggling.
The missus tried ordering a couple of things of Myer the other week for the first time in a long time. Items got shipped in THREE separate deliveries. How inefficient was that?
At least they overcame the other issue we had when she last ordered a couple of years ago. She got her order sent in two separate deliveries but that wasn't the only problem. One item was shipped by itself and was only size of my fist, less than 150grams - yet they shipped it in a HUGE 1 metre x 1 metre box.
I queried them about it and all I got was basically a "it happens" kind of attitude from 'customer service'.
Companies with operations like that are asking to get ripped apart by real online retailers.
