Hi PaleoBro, I think there is a fair amount of interest in 'Tasiast' by the Cornerstone investors. This was demonstrated by their willingness to exercise their options early to facilitate a Tasiast drill program. They are more than capable of shoring up company finances if needed but given their Tasiast interest, would want to see the permit issued and confirmation of the project before tipping in any significant funds that will be required for a drilling program. Better to wait for the green light and raise enough to achieve the set goals. My personal view is that both the company and the cornerstone investors, contrary to some belief, don't want needless share dilution even if they are the recipient of the shares. They already have a significant holding and wouldn't want to discourage other quality investors from coming on board. I would suggest the permit must be fairly close and the necessary funds will be easily raised when it comes.
