Approx overlay of the two maps. The Diamantina catchment gets the worst of it but Cooper Creek will get it too. The watershed line between the two rivers is actually closer to the Diamantina so a fair chunk of the purple area actually falls in the Thompson catchment and from there onto Cooper Creek.
They should have time to finish the vertical and rig down. I suspect they may delay spudding the horizontal until they know whether they need to pull the crews out. Maybe a few days delay at this stage, hopefully the bulk of it falls in the other catchment.
